Yipee an AAUW-CA Blog. And this is my first post to one. Now all we need do is make it known what it is and how to use it for the general membership (over 20-something). This kind of technology and communication is fabulous when used effectively. That may be a challenge, but certainly leads the organization in the right direction when the Younger members (and prospetive members) are the ones who are probably already using it! I look forward to see how well this works.
I am not so young, but young at heart and this is the first time I have tried to use a blog. I was wondering if you know when we will be able to access some of the workshop materials from convention? Please let me know if this is not appropriate.
This is a great idea, and I first heard about it through a friend in the California Online Branch (which has its own blog, too). I'm hoping that the plans are that whenever there is a new posting, you use the branch president listserv to alert us.
Based on the ways the listserv was used (and misunderstood by WAY too many branch presidents), it would be great if the blog took its place as the primary form of electronic communication (and avenue for discussion).
You may have resistance from some to a format that is unfamiliar to them. But I, for one, am delighted that AAUW-CA is embracing the 21st century this way!
